You have to dream before your dreams can come true – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
These words by our very own KALAM sir inspire me to dream bigger and bigger in life.
Someone has rightly said that everyone dreams, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous because they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.
The 7 Dreams I Have
I also dream every day while sleeping in the night but those dreams are like names written on the sand on a seashore which is washed away the moment I wake up in the morning. Some are good, some are bad. But actual dreams are the ones which I see with my open eyes and aspire to fulfill them. I will share a few of them with you all.
1. Spend Time with my Loved Ones
With a busy life and a stay away from a family from the past 7 years, I dream of spending more time with my family and loved ones because the love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege.
2. Run a Marathon
For the past 2 years, I have been dreaming of running a marathon for a cause. I want to come out of my comfort zone. I want to run marathons regularly. But need to start with that one beginner marathon. I have tried going for many but because of some reason or the other, I couldn’t. I think I will be able to live this dream next month with the upcoming marathon organized by my college.
3. Writing a Book
I am not sure if I am good at writing but I dream of writing a book because there is no harm in dreaming. I keep writing small blogs and I know one day I will write my book. When you dream bigger, then only you can achieve a little.
4. Travel Alone
I have many friends who have traveled solo, and they don’t want to adventure any other way. It might be daunting at first, and it’s certainly simpler for some people than it is for others. But as many of them say “spending time alone on the road is among the most rewarding travel experiences out there”. I have been to many treks and trips but I also dream of traveling alone. My motivation to travel alone is making new friends, exploring new places and exploring myself, my meaning of life and my creativity.
5. Own a Cafe
Whenever I appear for an interview for anything and when I am asked about my career plans, I always make up stories to please the interviewer which I know all of us to do. But at the back of my mind, I always imagine myself owning a small beautiful café with dim lights and soothing interiors. I see myself serving lovely couples and happy families making their lives happier.
6. Live in a House Among Nature
I am a nature lover. I want to stay in the lap of nature especially mountains and beaches. There are very few places where mountains and sea can be seen together. I dream of a beautiful house at such a location and want to spend my life there with my better half.
7. World Tour
Last but not least, I want to go for a world tour. I want to learn about different cultures, regions, cuisines, and people all around the world. And as they say learning by experience is the best kind of learning
These are the dreams of mine, maybe simple for others but worth living reasons for me. I have made my plans to fulfill my dreams and live by them. If everything works as planned I will be able to fulfill them in this life otherwise I will wait for the next life. But I will live them for sure.
What about you? What are you waiting for?
Remember your dreams and fight for them. You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream impossible, the fear of failure. – Paulo Coelho
Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don’t let anyone limit your dreams.
